elvis presley Blue Suede Shoes go on sale

Elvis Presley sang the hit song “Blue Suede Shoes” in 1956.  The song still remains one of the 500 best singles of all time as listed by Rolling Stones magazine.  The only pair of the blue suede shoes will go on auction on December 6th in Los Angeles.

Elvis was in possession of the shoes for four years.  He then bequeathed the shoes to Joe Esposito, a traveling event technician.  In 1994 they were bought by Chris Davidson for the Elvis -A -Rama Museum in Las Vegas.

The shoes will go up for auction in Los Angeles at the Julien’s auction house.

Included is a letter from Joe Esposito to establish the authenticity of the Blue Suede Shoes.  The auction house expects bids around $80,000.
