Justin Timberlake discusses his life and career and shows off childhood photos on Oprah’s Master Class. The singer and actor revealed how he wanted to be a star from an early age – and spoke about auditioning on the show Star Search when he was ten. He also spoke about his time on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera before signing up for boyband ‘N Sync. Timberlake revealed the decision to leave the boyband and go solo was ‘one of the best and worst things’ he’s ever done. He said: “Why wouldn’t you ride this out? You’re the biggest group in the world. Why would you walk away from this? It’s one of the best and worst things I have ever done. It was bittersweet. It was hard to kind of say goodbye to that era. But I felt it changing. I felt music changing. I felt myself changing.” He spoke candidly about realizing the end of the boy band era was coming, to dealing with those who thought his solo effort SexyBack was a joke. He also revealed that Michael Jackson wanted to duet with him but it never happened as the song he had written had already been cut and released with ‘N Sync.
